The high-end look of our invitations is achieved by using a heavyweight background card layered with a printable overlay then adorned with a unique embellishment, to stand out from the typical flat announcement. The layered invitations were designed to be made easily using our free wedding invitation templates, just change the wording, print and cut …no tiny sheets to print on! Custom printed invitations to your specifications, using our exquisite collection of fonts and artwork, is also available for your convenience.

We use only high quality, 100% post-consumer recycled papers for the invitation envelopes, white overlays, reply cards, reply envelopes and cover stock. Do you offer a catalog/samples?

In order to keep our prices as low as possible, we do not offer a printed catalog. However, we do offer wedding invitation samples, which are the best way to accurately view our high quality papers and embellishments.

When will I receive my order? How much is shipping?

We provide shipping via UPS, costs are calculated by UPS and are based on weight of order and location, you will be able to view options and prices before submitting order. Orders with invalid addresses or refused shipments will be charged the UPS return fee. shipping map We use UPS Worldship for orders outside the US, visit UPS.com for time and cost calculations from Downers Grove, IL 60515. Delivery times for blank diy wedding invitations supplies are as follows: Ground orders will normally be delivered 5-9 business days. 2-Day Air orders received before 10:00am cst will arrive in two business days in most locations. UPS will not pick up or deliver on weekends or holidays. Custom printed wedding invitations are shipped approximately two weeks after receipt of signed approval of artwork.

Can I use my ink jet/laser printer with your papers?

Our vellum overlay paper is made for ink jet and laser printers. Printing on 65# and 80# cover stock is not guaranteed by the mills, we recommend ordering a sample sheet and testing with your printer first. We recommend using a laser printer or copier as most inkjet ink is not waterproof, though you can buy water resistant ink or use an inkjet spray fixative. Our background cards are too thick to print with inkjet or laser printers.

How many overlays do I need for my invitations?

Order one overlay per invitation, our 4.25x5.5 overlays are sold uncut in standard 8.5x11 sheets for ease of printing,as small precut sheets would be very difficult to setup, feed and print correctly. Each 8.5x11 sheet will provide four 4.25x5.5 overlays using our free wedding invitation templates. We will calculate the amount of sheets you will receive, for example if you order 25 overlays, you will receive (7) 8.5x11 sheets, if you order 100 overlays, you will receive (25) 8.5x11 sheets.

Do you offer reply cards and reception cards?

We offer pre-printed reply cards, please note wording cannot be changed with these cards--you can create your own cards with our blank 8.5x11 cover stock. Custom printed cards are available only with custom invitations orders.

What is the postage required to mail invitations?

We recommend bringing a sample of the invitations with the cards to the post office to determine the postage required. If the handmade cards are used, the weight could vary for each card and we recommend having the post office calculate postage for each invitation.

Do you offer thank you cards or wedding programs?

You can make thank you's with our background cards or cover stock (cut to make 3.5x5 cards) to fit inside our reply envelopes. The background cards can be folded to 3.5x5 booklets with a vellum insert and tied shut with a ribbon to make attractive wedding programs. Custom printed thank you's and programs are not available at this time.

How many supplies should I order?

Count the number of actual invitations you need to mail out, not the number of guests--it is also wise to order an additional 25 for extras, as our stock frequently changes.

What is your return policy?

Unused packs of wedding invitations supplies may be returned for a refund within 30 days of the invoice date (samples and shipping are not refundable). All items must be returned in original packaging with a copy of the invoice in a box. We cannot accept partial or used packs of supplies or items returned in an envelope, as they could be damaged during transit. Returns should be shipped to Formal-Invitations.com at 1341 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove IL 60515. We recommend using tracking and insurance, please do not send via certified or registered mail--the post office will not deliver these, and due to time constraints we are not able to travel to the post office for pickups. Please allow 30 days to receive your refund via check.

Do you have any distributors? At this time our exclusive invitations are only available from us directly. We do not sell wholesale and we do not sell other companies invitations.
