The wedding invitation wording for our layered wedding invitations will be printed or copied onto the overlay paper. We offer translucent vellum to reveal the background card underneath or a crisp opaque white to contrast with the darker background cards. Each standard 8.5"x11" sheet will provide four 4.25"x5.5" overlays after cutting, the sheets are not perforated for a professional clean edge. Our standard sized sheets will easily print on most printers, the vellum is made specifically for inkjets, laser printers and copiers...no tiny sheets to try to setup and feed through your printer! We recommend ordering a sample to test with your printer and purchasing water resistant ink jet ink or using a laser printer or copier, for better durability. For a unique and personal look, you can also handwrite your invitations or hire a calligrapher, you will only need a photo copier to copy master onto our overlay. A paper guide (master) is provided to write directly onto, four times in each section (figure 1), the blue lines on the guide will not show up when copied. Copy onto test paper before using the overlay paper.
If you will be using an ink jet or laser printer to create your artwork, we provide free Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works and AppleWorks templates to download. After creating your document, experiment with different typefaces to get the look you want then print on test paper before using the overlay. Click here for ideas on wedding invitation wording.
