ordering and mailing your wedding invitations.Do you offer a catalog/samples?In order to keep our prices as low as possible, we do not offer a printed catalog. However, we do offer samples, which are the best way to accurately view our products. Please fill out and mail the invitation sample request form. Sorry, we are not able to take sample requests over the phone or fax or process sample order payment with credit cards.
When will I receive my order?/How much is shipping? We provide shipping via UPS, costs are calculated by UPS and are based on weight of order and location, you will be able to view options and prices before submitting order. Custom printed wedding invitations are shipped approximately two weeks after receipt of signed approval of artwork. Delivery times for blank do-it-yourself wedding invitations supplies are as follows:
Ground: Orders will normally be delivered 3-8 business days, delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
2-Day Air: Orders received before 10:00am cst will arrive in two business days*.
Next Day Air Saver: Orders received before 10:00am cst will arrive the next business day*.
Worldwide Express: Orders received before 10:00am cst will arrive the next business day in Canada and two business days to major business centers in more than 1,000 cities across Europe.
Worldwide Expedited: Orders received before 10:00am cst will arrive two business days in Canada and Mexico and most shipments to major destinations in Europe and Asia are delivered within four business days.
*Business days are Monday through Friday and exclude holidays.
Can I use my ink jet/laser printer with your papers?Our vellum overlay paper is made for ink jet and laser printers. Printing on 65# and 80# cover stock is not guaranteed by the mills, we recommend ordering a sample sheet and testing with your printer first. We recommend using a laser printer or copier as most inkjet ink is not waterproof, though you can buy water resistant ink or use an inkjet spray fixative. You can also create your artwork using your ink jet/laser printer and taking it to a quick print shop for printing on a press, we recommend consulting with the shop regarding your project first. We do not recommend printing on the handmade papers (they are too heavy for most printers and the petals could jam up your printer), though they can be silk screened or engraved.
Do you offer reply cards and reception cards?We offer pre-printed reply cards in white or sage, please note wording cannot be changed with these cards--you can create your own cards with our blank 8.5x11 cover stock. Custom printed cards are available only with custom invitations orders.
What is the postage required to mail invitations?We recommend bringing a sample of the invitations with the cards to the post office to determine the postage required. If the handmade cards are used, the weight could vary for each card and we recommend having the post office calculate postage for each invitation.
Are the holes punched in the background cards?The holes are not punched, we provide a template for recommended hole placement with all orders.
How much overlay paper do I need with my order?Each sheet provides four overlays. We offer packs of seven sheets which will provide 28 overlays (order 1 pack per set of 25). Click here to view an illustration of invitations overlay layout.
Can I order via fax or mail?When checking out, select "Print Order Form and pay by Mail" under payment options, which will provide a completed order form to print and send in. Orders paid by credit card may be faxed to 630-964-5395. Orders will not ship until we receive payment, please allow an additional 5-10 business days for checks to clear (orders sent with a money order or cashiers check will ship the day after receipt). Due to possible price and paper changes, orders will expire 30 days after input date. We accept US funds and checks only.
Do you offer thank you cards or wedding programs?You can make thank you's with our background cards or cover stock (cut to make 3.5x5 cards) to fit inside our reply envelopes. The background cards can be folded to 3.5x5 booklets with a vellum insert and tied shut with a ribbon to make attractive wedding programs. Custom printed thank you's and programs are not available at this time.
Is your site secure?When checking out, you are transferred to a secure site to submit your credit card information. Payments are processed through Paypal® and our site is secured by GeoTrust®.
How many supplies should I order? Count the number of actual invitations you need to mail out, not the number of guests--it is also wise to order an additional 25 as our paper stock frequently changes. Click here to calculate how many packs you need to order.
Return Policy Unused packs of invitations supplies may be returned for a refund within 30 days of the invoice date (samples and shipping are not refundable). All items must be returned in original packaging with a copy of the invoice in a box. We cannot accept partial or used packs of supplies or items returned in an envelope, as they could be damaged during transit. Returns should be shipped to Formal-Invitations.com at 1341 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove IL 60515. We recommend using tracking and insurance, please do not send via certified or registered mail--the post office will not deliver these, and due to time constraints we are not able to travel to the post office for pickups. Please allow 30 days to receive your refund via check.
Do you have any distributors? At this time our exclusive invitations are only available from us directly. We do not sell wholesale and we do not sell other companies invitations.
