spring 2011 wedding colorsInspired by Pantone.com’s spring fashion color report, http://www.formal-invitations.com, a great source for wedding invitations, has put together hues that will be hot this spring. A soft hint of pink and pretty lavender will create an elegant look, while vibrant papaya orange and berry pink make a bold contemporary statement. Tiffany blue is still going strong, as well as Chocolate brown for the upcoming season. What will be the main color for your spring or summer wedding? Please leave us a comment with your thoughts…

Fall wedding color palette, chocolate, anjou pear green and lemonInspired by the gorgeous headband from TwigsandHoney.com, we put together this modern fall wedding color palette. The main color  is a deep chocolate brown, using anjou pear green as a secondary  with a splash of lemon yellow for an accent. Table linens would look fabulous in the rich, dark brown, with gold and yellow accents, while bridesmaids in pear green with dramatic rich brown dahlias, cosmos or sunflowers would be stunning. Chocolate brown wedding invitations with a sparkling Tourmaline green crystal brad and some vintage clip art of feathers or foliage (http://www.formal-invitations.com) would set the tone for a fabulous fall wedding.

Eggplant purple wedding invitation with rust Paisley sash

Purple was the top color in our lastest color poll and we used it as a feature hue for this fall wedding color palette. Rich, dark purple is the dominant color, with rust orange as a secondary and metallic gold for accent. Using this formula, we created these wedding invitations from http://www.formal-invitations.com (82¢ each with envelope) using the heavyweight Eggplant purple and white overlay wrapped with the rust Paisley sash printed with a metallic gold paisley design. The overlay was printed with vintage monogram clip art ($16 also from Formal-Invitations.com, for a book of 812 letters and initials plus cd of scanned images) that could be used throughout the event. Bridesmaids would also look great in purple, carrying a bouquet of orange lilies or roses, accented with gold embellishments.

french blue wedding color palette for fallInspired by Williams-Sonomas table linens, we created this blue wedding color palette using Denim blue as the main color, Navy as the secondary and Frost as the accent. Blue was selected as a top wedding color from our recent poll and we love the sophisticated hue as well. Denim or navy would be a great choice for modern wedding invitations and bridesmaid dresses, with frosty blue accents, like the Zircon crystal brad from http://www.formal-invitations.com. For the men, a navy suit and french blue or silver satin tie would complete the look.
