We used Pantone’s color of the year (Tangerine) and paired it with silver and goldenrod for a chic summer wedding color palette. A designers tip: use 60% of the main color, 30% of the secondary and 10% for the accent throughout your event as a rough guide. For a stunning tabletop using these colors; pair an orange tablecloth with silver chargers/plates accented with yellow napkins and flowers. For invitations, we used the Sunset orange and Goldenrod for these custom printed invitations from Formal-Invitations.com ($164/100), paired with an envelope with a silver liner. Bridesmaids wearing the vibrant orange hue, could add silver shoes and jewelry, while carrying a yellow based bouquet.

We love Pantone’s Spring Colors for 2012 and think they will look great in the upcoming wedding season. For wedding invitations, they can be used as the main color of the card or as an accent… pair the grosgain or satin ribbons shown right with a translucent rice paper unryu sash for a modern look or lace for a vintage feel. The ribbons can also be embellished with a chic buckle for a unique invitation. View Formal-Invitations.com belly band invitations and invitations with buckles for ideas.
Straight from Fashion Week for Spring of 2012, we noticed an abundance of this gorgeous shade of orange. Orange radiates warmth and is a joyful hue for a wedding or special event, it represents enthusiasm, happiness and is associated with sunshine and the tropics.
Check out these beautiful orange wedding invitations featuring modern shades of papaya, marigold and coral. Add orange embellishments such as the mandarin and citrine crystal brads, orange grosgrain belts, embossed flowers or fine paper floral sashes for a splash of this on-trend hue.

Each season, Pantone surveys the designers of New York Fashion Week to identify the most directional colors: “Designers take a painterly approach to fall 2011 by artfully combining bright colors with staple neutrals, reminiscent of how an artist would construct a stunning work of art,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Much like a painter’s masterpiece, there is a certain romance to this season’s palette.”
We used their picks and paired them with crystal brads embellishments if you want just a touch of the latest hues. Try Mandarin orange, Amethyst, Tourmaline green, Aquamarine, Topaz Pearl or Zircon blue crystal brads for your invitations or anywhere you want a little sparkle. ($4 for a pack of 25 at http://www.formal-invitations.com/invitation-brads.html).

The honeysuckle pink was specified for the background, the vintage cherubic artwork in bamboo and emberglow orange was used for the text background. Mixing vintage illustrations with a modern color palette provides a beautiful look with a contemporary edge.

Inspired by Pantone’s fall color report, we put together a fresh, modern palette using pear green, teal and royal purple. The designers secret to using these colors is to choose one dominant (60%), a secondary (30%) and an accent color (10%) throughout your event for a consistent look.
We used these hues to create this fabulous wedding invitation using a heavyweight Anjou background card and crisp white overlay wrapped in romantic lace and a contemporary royal purple satin belly bands ($1.26 each from Formal-Invitations.com). Inspired by the top 10 PANTONE colors for fashion, which were chosen by New York designers for spring 2011, we created this vibrant color palette of berry pink, goldenrod yellow and papaya orange for upcoming spring weddings and events.
An easy way to apply these hues is the designers 60-30-10 trick … use 60% of the main color, 30% of the secondary and a splash of the accent color throughout your event. For these chic wedding invitations, the heavyweight Berry card and printed overlay were wrapped with the modern-floral California fine paper sash ($1.06 each for a complete diy kit or $151 for 100 printed invitations from Formal-Invitations.com, order at http://www.formal-invitations.com/pink-wedding-invitations.html
Inspired by Pantone.com’s spring fashion color report, http://www.formal-invitations.com, a great source for wedding invitations, has put together hues that will be hot this spring. A soft hint of pink and pretty lavender will create an elegant look, while vibrant papaya orange and berry pink make a bold contemporary statement. Tiffany blue is still going strong, as well as Chocolate brown for the upcoming season. What will be the main color for your spring or summer wedding? Please leave us a comment with your thoughts…
Inspired by the gorgeous headband from TwigsandHoney.com, we put together this modern fall wedding color palette. The main color is a deep chocolate brown, using anjou pear green as a secondary with a splash of lemon yellow for an accent. Table linens would look fabulous in the rich, dark brown, with gold and yellow accents, while bridesmaids in pear green with dramatic rich brown dahlias, cosmos or sunflowers would be stunning. Chocolate brown wedding invitations with a sparkling Tourmaline green crystal brad and some vintage clip art of feathers or foliage (http://www.formal-invitations.com) would set the tone for a fabulous fall wedding.
Purple was the top color in our lastest color poll and we used it as a feature hue for this fall wedding color palette. Rich, dark purple is the dominant color, with rust orange as a secondary and metallic gold for accent. Using this formula, we created these wedding invitations from http://www.formal-invitations.com (82¢ each with envelope) using the heavyweight Eggplant purple and white overlay wrapped with the rust Paisley sash printed with a metallic gold paisley design. The overlay was printed with vintage monogram clip art ($16 also from Formal-Invitations.com, for a book of 812 letters and initials plus cd of scanned images) that could be used throughout the event. Bridesmaids would also look great in purple, carrying a bouquet of orange lilies or roses, accented with gold embellishments.
