Eggplant purple wedding invitation with rust Paisley sash

Purple was the top color in our lastest color poll and we used it as a feature hue for this fall wedding color palette. Rich, dark purple is the dominant color, with rust orange as a secondary and metallic gold for accent. Using this formula, we created these wedding invitations from http://www.formal-invitations.com (82¢ each with envelope) using the heavyweight Eggplant purple and white overlay wrapped with the rust Paisley sash printed with a metallic gold paisley design. The overlay was printed with vintage monogram clip art ($16 also from Formal-Invitations.com, for a book of 812 letters and initials plus cd of scanned images) that could be used throughout the event. Bridesmaids would also look great in purple, carrying a bouquet of orange lilies or roses, accented with gold embellishments.

Inspired by Instyle magazine’s feature on Anne Hathaway wearing a romantic Bottega Veneta dress, we created these stylish wedding invitations featuring a band of royal purple satin, the top hue in our latest wedding color poll. We love this stylish dress in silk organza from Ann Taylor ($255) , the layered petal skirt offers a chic and flattering silhouette. Inspired by the pale hue and flowery design, we created these sophisticated pale pink wedding invitations, perfect for a garden wedding. The Magnolia heavyweight background card and white overlay were wrapped with a metallic Gold cording, that was strung with a solid brass butterfly charm ($1.06 each, including 100% recycled envelope, from http://www.formal-invitations.com).

Vintage clip art is a great way to add a timeless look to your announcements. For these rich black wedding invitations, the white overlay was printed with an elegant leaf image adorned with a modern pale blue Zircon crystal brad for a little sparkle. This award-winning green baby hydrangea is a smaller hydrangea that has become an extremely popular for weddings. The beauty alone of this flower will make stunning and easy to make wedding bouquets, table centerpieces or flower arrangements.

Perfect for a spring wedding, these exquisite French blue wedding invitations were created using the heavyweight Slate background card and white overlay wrapped with a Birch lokta cord ($1.02 from http://www.formal-invitations.com). Lokta is an native shrub in Nepal, harvested by cutting its stem, which regenerates in a few years. The inner bark of lotka is soaked, hammered into pulp then spread into thin sheets and dried by the sun. The Birch white lokta twisted cord contains 50% recycled lokta fibers, the ends are gently unraveled to reveal a beautiful leaf shape.

Cherry blossoms are a beautiful symbol of good fortune, love and spring …a perfect theme for this season’s weddings and special events. For pure romance, we used the heavyweight Merlot wine background card and white overlay wrapped with delicate unryu and white satin belly bands to create these romantic wedding invitations (98¢ each with envelope from Formal-Invitations.com). The overlay was printed with vintage clip art ($14 for a book and cd of 556 holiday images, also from Formal-Invitations.com) which can also be used throughout the event on menu cards, place cards and programs …the monogram letter inside the heart was added for a modern look.
