Wedding invitations cost varies considerably depending on printing method and papers used. Bride’s magazine featured an article comparing two invitations with a similar look. The letterpress invitation with reply card and envelopes worked out to be almost $40 EACH, and on the low end the comparison was a mass-produced design on lightweight cardstock for $2.69 each. We would like to offer a third alternative for an extremely easy to make do-it-yourself wedding invitations using a high quality heavyweight background card, a printable overlay that is printed on standard 8.5×11 sheets for ease of use (no tiny sheets to try to feed and print on!) and wrapped with an exquisite fine paper sash imported from Italy. Our Portofino sash, also shown enlarged in the background, features cream paper printed with a floral design in pink, orange, metallic gold, light green and teal. This layered, dimension invitation will stand out from the typical flat cards …even the expensive ones. The price for our unique wedding invitations including a pre-printed reply card and envelopes is an amazing $1.22 each…HALF of the cheap wedding invitation featured in the article! Our 80# earth-friendly envelopes are also heavier than the standard 70# and are made from 100% post-consumer fibers, to boot.
