Green Invitation Ideas
Inspired by Prismera.com‘s Mimosa earrings we created these summery wedding invitations. The heavyweight Anjou pear green background card and white overlay were wrapped with the Virburnum sash, embossed with a modern floral design. The Mimosa earrings are from Primsera’s Flora & Folium collection of botanical silhouettes that have been cut from stainless steel. Traditional floral motifs are used in conjunction with modern style to create a timeless body of work. Stainless steel is an eco-friendly, sustainable material that is created from recycled components.
The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring given as a token of love or worn as a wedding ring. The design and customs associated with it originated in the Irish fishing village of Claddagh, located just outside the city of Galway. The ring was first produced in the 17th century during the reign of Queen hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). The expression which was associated with these symbols in the giving of the ring was: “With my two hands I give you my heart, and crown it with my loyalty.” Yet, the expression, “Let love and friendship reign forever” can be found as another meaning for the symbols.

Ivy green wedding invitations with Tourmaline crystal brad
Inspired by Bride’s magazine organic floral arrangement, these eco-friendly green wedding invitations were created using a 100# heavyweight dark green Ivy background card, made from 30% recycled content, processed elemental chlorine free, plus FSC and Green Seal certified.
