Tuscany wedding color palette

Viewers will be tempted to linger in the poppy-flecked, golden hillsides of Art Fronckowiak’s tranquil “Poppies of Toscano” prints, available from Allposters.com. A self-taught artist, Fronckowiak is known for his romantic, old-world style of richly contrasting shadow and light. We used the colors from this beautiful print to create a palette of Poppy red, Goldenrod and Ivy green. A casual guideline for how to use these colors through your wedding with your invitations, bridesmaid dresses, linens and floral arrangements is to choose one dominant color (60%), a secondary color (30%) and an accent color (10%). We selected the Poppy red background card, which is embedded with light sparkles and printed the overlay with a vintage clip art image. These richly colored Tuscany-inspired wedding invitations, were a great deal at only 46¢ each, including envelope made from 100% post consumer fibers from Formal-Invitations.com.

Inspired by the election, Vogue featured bright red, white and blue in the November issue. We love the strong, bold colors and used the idea to create patriotic wedding invitations, perfect for a July 4th or military wedding…or Chicago Cub fans! A vintage clip art monogram was used to print on the white overlay, layered over a bright poppy red card, embedded with light sparkles. For a pop of color we wrapped a cobalt blue grosgrain belt around the cards and sealed in back with a glue dot. Including envelope these bold invitations were an easy 62¢ each from Formal-Invitations.com, the vintage clip art is also available from them in cd and book form… no scanner required!

Wedding Essentials magazine featured harvest chic wedding invitations by Formal-Invitations.com. A scarlet red background card was layered with a white printable overlay, then wrapped in a delicate unryu sash with a real skeletonized leaf tucked in. Unryu, which literally means “Cloud Dragon Paper”, also known as rice paper, is made by adding long swirling fibers to a kozo pulp. The design origin comes from illustrations of dragons flying over the clouds, which means to bring a good fortune to persons. Fortunately, these leaf wedding invitations are a reasonable 98¢ each with envelope.

This gorgeous red wedding gown, found at Preowned-weddingdresses.com, is for the truly original, bold, and romantic bride. Using supplies from Formal-Invitations.com, we created dramatic red wedding invitations using the Scarlet red background card, white overlay and wrapped them with a floral Lace belt. A smart choice for only 98¢ each with envelope. The monogram was from a vintage clip art CD that was added to the overlay for an added element of romance.
