We love the elegant green pop of color against the cream colored gown shown in Brides Magazine, and used the inspiration to make these gorgeous cream wedding invitations. The heavyweight Vanilla background card and translucent vellum was embellished with a Tsavorite green crystal brad, for a bit of sparkle. The vellum was printed using vintage clip art of a fan ($14 for a book and cd of 1268 images) and the invitation worked out to an affordable 66¢ each with envelope, both from Formal-Invitations.com. This beautiful pink sapphire ring from BrilliantEarth.com, also offered a modern ring with vintage elements, the Tiara setting offers a harmonious balance of complementary round and marquise shapes with miniature detailing added for grand effect … a delicate band offers a lovely contrast to the center gem.
Beautiful wedding gowns inspired by the Victorian era were highlighted in Modern Bride this month and the gorgeous photos gave us the idea for these rich Victorian wedding invitations. We started with an extra heavyweight 90# Gold metallic background card and layered it with a white overlay printed with vintage clip art. The overlay was attached to the background with a modern amethyst jewel brad for a little three dimensional sparkle.
