This gorgeous hand sewn hat from TwigsandHoney.com with vintage veiling, lace, silk flower, hand curled ostrich and pheasant feathers inspired us to create these lovely romantic wedding invitations. We used the Victorian heavyweight background card and translucent vellum overlay adorned with a solid brass heart charm. The Victorian card is a William Morris design printed on 100% post consumer recycled heavyweight paper, making them earth-friendly, as well as affordable at only $1.16 each, including envelope from Formal-Invitations.com.
These decadent custom printed wedding invitations were inspired by the rich colors from from Godiva’s fine chocolates. We selected the classic diamond pattern from Formal-Invitations.com’s vintage artwork collection, printed in dark and milk chocolate brown, with mahogany brown text over a creamy inset. Cotton Lavender Wedding Invitations with Crystal Brad 94¢
This dazzling chiffon dress was labeled “the best dress” by InStyle Magazine… the soft lilac shade and glamorous embellishment created a stunning effect. We wanted the same effect in lavender wedding invitations and used the handmade cotton Lavender card, embedded with silky fibers, vellum overlay and Diamond crystal brad to get the look. The overlay was printed with vintage clip art ($14 for a book and cd of 1268 images from Formal-Invitations.com) to add a little bit of elegance. This gorgeous bridal gown was featured in PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com, a company connecting buyers and sellers of pre-owned designer wedding dresses. The detailed bodice has a vintage look paired with a simple modern skirting …a dream dress for less! We used the idea for these custom printed wedding invitations printed in modern black and dove gray, using vintage artwork from Formal-Invitations.com collection. Chocolate Brown Wedding Invitations with Topaz Jewel Brad
We found this gorgeous “Swan Lake” bridal gown by Monique Lhuillier at PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com and were inspired to create elegant swan wedding invitations. The overlay was printed with a gorgeous image of swans using vintage clip art. The Chocolate brown background card and white overlay were embellished with a Topaz jewel brad for an elegant look at an easy 62¢ each, the clip art book, which included 224 French Provincial designs and a cd of the scanned images cd was $14, both available from Formal-Invitations.com.
This vintage poster by James Tissot, available from AllPosters.com features gorgeous lilacs that inspired us to create wedding invitations using these sweet spring flowers. We printed the white overlay with beautiful vintage clip art and glued it to a heavyweight Hyacinth lavender background card, embedded with light sparkles. A silver crinkle liner was added to the envelope for a little sparkle. These lilac wedding invitations were a sweet 62¢, including envelope and liner from Formal-Invitations.com, as well as the clip art book in CD and book form.
